How do we strengthen our faith so that we achieve a state where "perfect Love casts out all fear"?

The Bloodless Martyrdom.
Actual Martyrdom.
Being a Christian in general.
Needless to say, there are more ways to die than one.

Too unfortunate that, in this day and age, there's still discrimination against Christians. I have to say thank goodness our lives are free of that here. What you said is a very concrete example of a temptation to deny the Lord, but what about less obvious ones? I think we have to think about that issue in regards to small occurences in our daily lives too, maybe not to such a grand scale of Peter's denial, hopefully.
And that is a big question. The simple answer (if there were ever a simple answer to these type of questions) is to know your purpose, your goal, and love and accept yourself and the world so that you have nothing to be afraid of! Haha... if only...
Mm..The Bloodless Martyrdom and Actual Martyrdom?
Something I've been pondering all day. Are the two completely different or is one not actually martyrdom?(Depending on what martyrdom is..)
